today is my 1st day in ENT n i already did 2 tonsillectomies! n kene puji plak lagi,.. hehe.
masuk ward pg td dgn rs x seronok, sb igtkan kn dtg hosp at 9, rupe2nye kul 8 sebenany. huhu. ape lagi, capai beskal n terus pecut. seb bek vincent's dekattt je. eheh.
n thanks to my irish partners, i was alone today bcs they all successfully disappeared. haha (ape la korang ni, klu nak skip pon, ajak2 la orang..)
mencongokkan muka kat st agnes tepat kol 8, mbuat bodo selama 15minit camtu sambil bdiri sblm wyall the reg datang. ikut la die wat rounds, tb2 kn heret masuk ot. huhu. i thought i had enough of ot's, after the vascular rotation. cam nak nanges bl kn masuk ot lagi hr ni.
but then, sentiasa ade hikmah di sebalik setiap kejadian kan? as the only med students, msti la dpt 'special treatment'. KAHKAHKAH. tadah je la.
han ikut 4 surgeries hari ni bsm mr charles the consultant n wyall:
1. mule2 buat gromet insertion (pelik x, patient tu x pekak walaupun tympanic membrane die purposely dilubangkan? huhu).
2. lepas tu nasal polyps removal (which was very ewwwww - sbb byk hingus n pus n segala mcm jenis lendir dlm hidung die sb sinus die tsumbat. kohkoh)han telah diajar dan disuruh oleh mary the anaesthesiologist utk membuka airway sambil memegang oxygen mask dgn betul semasa putting the patient under. kemudian han membubuh pharyngeal tube ke dalam tekak pakcik itu bagi memastikan die dapat breathing without being obstructed sb die under anaesthesia. malangnya han telah berjaya menyebabkan trauma kepada tekak pakcik tu sebab han main jolok2 je bendealah tube tu dalam cubaan2 gagal mempraktikkan teknik yg betul. very sorry pakcik.. nnt esok han pegi jumpe die kt ward n mintak mahap personally okay? =(

3 & 4. then came the tonsillectomies. my pencerahan agung! i scrubbed in for all cases, but for the last 2, i got to assist. memule dpt la tlg2 buat suction n released a few clamps. but in the 2nd tonsillectomy, wyall actually let me hold the scissors n cut the mucous mbr to get to the tonsil capsule. lepas tu boleh lagi menolak-menarik the tonsils utk men-take out kan mereka. haha. sungguh seronok!! lalu hari ini menjadi hari ini dalam sejarah, kerana han telah meremove tonsil kanan bg patient bernama miss xxx. KAHKAHKAH. menggembirakan, bukan?
aiyoh,.. walaupun kebimbangan terhadap varicose veins kembali lagi lantaran aksi2 lutut tanpa bengkok selama 6jam lagi hari ni, namun terasa tertimbal balik segala-galanya.
